When Generic Monopril Should Not Be Used: You should not use Generic Monopril if you have had an allergic reaction to fosinopril or other blood pressure medicine (such as Accupril®, Altace®, Lotensin®, Lotrel®, Prinivil®, Vasotec®, Zestril®). You should not use Generic Monopril if you are pregnant.How to Use Generic Monopril: Tablet Your doctor will tell you how much of Generic Monopril to take and how often. Your dose may need to be changed several times in order to find out what works best for you. Do not take more Generic Monopril or take it more often than your doctor tells you to. When you take Generic Monopril for the first time, your doctor may want you to take it in a clinic so you can be observed for any unwanted side effects. Never share your Generic Monopril with anyone. If a dose is missed: If you miss a dose or forget to take Generic Monopril, take it as soon as you can.
