When Generic Lasix Should Not Be Used: You should not use Generic Lasix if you have had an allergic reaction to furosemide, or if you have kidney or liver problems, if you are dehydrated, or if you have recently lost a large amount of blood. How to Use Generic Lasix: (Tablet, Liquid) Your doctor will tell you how much Generic Lasix to take and how often. Do not take more Generic Lasix or take it more often than your doctor tells you to. Measure the oral liquid with a marked measuring spoon or medicine cup. If Generic Lasix upsets your stomach, you may take it with food. Carefully follow your doctor's instructions about any special diet. You may need to eat foods that are high in potassium (such as oranges or bananas) to prevent potassium loss while you are using Generic Lasix.
